Brooklyn illustrator friend J.Penry has some limited edition prints and tote bags of this hypnotic cat available for purchase if you email him. Also check out his work in the By & By gallery over on Grand St. if you get a chance. This is awesome.
Mirage Mag #02

Finally, a copy of Henrik Purienne and partner Frank Rocholl’s Mirage Magazine Issue 2. This took me a while to get my hands on, as it instantly sold out globally. Check out that linen cover stock.
Mikael Jansson shoots Carey Mulligan for Interview

This article on the actress Carey Mulligan in Interview is photographed by Mikael Jansson. Wow, great Audrey Hepburn-esk styling(Karl Templer) and wonderful grain. Pairing those features with a fluorescent color burn gave this story such a brilliant look.
Penguin Classics

These are absolutely beautiful. Penguin Publishing came out with a few series of classics wonderfully designed with repeat patterns screened on canvas. You can check out all of them here and here on the designer Coralie Bickford-Smith’s site. I would go ahead and scan through the rest as well. That adventure series is out of this world.
Dazed - Chanel - Scott Trindle

These two shots by Scott Trindle caught my eye as I was thumbing through a copy of Dazed yesterday. Go to his site; I fell in love and love.
It’s A Beautiful Thing
A magazine… It’s a beautiful thing friends. Grab it, hold it, keep your favorites until they rip apart, or stain, or crease, or turn to dust. Or at least until you can pass them/it on to someone that will appreciate them/it as much as you. But… you can keep those online mags for yourselfs, cause they will never actually be anyones anyway.
Allen Jones

I love a good insert. This book is in the Richard Prince POP mag that came out a couple months ago. It is a great feature on the British Pop sculpture artist Allen Jones with the lovely Devon Aoki modeling.
Fabrizio

Here is a nice series by Fabrizio Rainone for the amazing Mirage Magazine. There are some unique point of views in his shots. By the way, can someone please find me a copy of Mirage #2. Apparently there are none left on the planet Earth.
Ruvan

This series of photographs by Ruvan Wijesooriya brings up the tail end of Smag #10. Nonchalant nudity and wonderfully grainy.
